One thing I learned after watching too many busy match nights is that the live score tab is not always the best place for everything. It is brilliant for the clock and quick events, but it can feel cramped when I also want team context.
So I seperate the routine a bit. The score screen stays open for the actual match flow, then I use another tab for squads, form, and player notes. Sofascore is good when I want simple lineups and momentum charts in one place. Flashscore is still my quick check when there are many matches at the same time.
For background, I like FBref when the league is covered well, because the team and player pages are cleaner than most stat pages. Transfermarkt is useful when I need to check a squad list or a transfer/injury note. I also use Soccerway for fixture lists when a competition page on another site feels messy.
My small rule is that I don't trust a match page more just because it looks busy. If the lineup source is unclear, I wait for a second source. If the stats page has no context, I read it slower. It sounds basic, but it keeps me from making sloppy notes when the evening has too many games at once.
